Jim K. joins Team Ethan

Those of us here at TruScouting are happy for Jim.  He might have thought to call Steve Bortz for an honest assessment of working for Ethan.

We don’t think this will last very long.  Both Jim and Ethan like to play “pin the tail on the donkey,” or the blame game, and sooner or later they will do this with each other and Jim will find himself out of another job.  Does anyone out there know of a Senior Executive Service member not retiring from the position?

When you run camps for the BSA, you should have a clue that your weekends will be tied up.  Poor Jim, he thinks he’ll be visiting Maryland on the weekends.  Good luck Jim, you're going to need it.

  2. TruScouting where have you gone. Are you still concerned with the Baltimore Area Council or not?
You need to take a hard look at the council under the current leadership. Huge budget deficits, huge membership loss, Huge salary increases for Senior Managers. What has changed? Not much just the wizard performing the magic.

  4. Is anyone still here? I thought things in BAC would get better.

  5. From what I've heard things have gotten a little better, but not a lot. Interesting to see how this new salary law will affect the BSA structure as a whole

    1. currently the OA lodge is in total disarray after the adults fired the elected lodge chief for not "following the direction they (the adults) want the lodge to go.

  6. thank god ethan retired and no longer with the BSA. he has fired or let go of every excellent professional scout for people who will does nothing and have no knowledge and ethan wanted people who will just say yes with their head pointed to the floor. He single handily destroyed the relationship between volunteers and professional scouters and left with a large deficient which will take minimum 6 to 8 years to recover.

Last time i heard because of his "big idea" and his ego, some parts of the camp land that was gifted by FDR is being sold to cover some of the loss...
